How To Install Hardware:

Steps:

Note: You will need Administrative Rights in order to install hardware.

Click Start

Click Settings

Click Control Panel

Double click Add/Remove Hardware (This brings up the Install Hardware Wizard)

Click Next  (This begins the hardware installation process)

Select the Add/Troubleshoot a device radio button

Click Next to have Windows 2000 search for any new Plug-and-Play devices

If Plug-and-Play devices are found, Windows 2000 will automatically search for them and prompt you to install them.  When done, windows will prompt you to click finish (windows may also prompt you to restart your computer)

If Plug-and-Play devices are not found, Windows 2000 will prompt you to select the type of hardware you are trying to add.

Select hardware type

Click Next to continue

When done, windows will prompt you to click finish (windows may also prompt you to restart your computer)
