Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (A.K.A. MSICUU2.exe) is a software utility (program) created by Microsoft to fix uninstallation problems for any software program that use the Windows Installer technology.
The utility was first released by Microsoft in 1999 to help Windows-based computers clean up installed programs that would either refuse or pretend not to remove themselves from the add/remove programs feature in Microsoft Windows.
MWICU was used to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. The MWICU will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it only removed the installation files so that you could start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over again.

Microsoft has removed Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from the download center. Because it sometimes damages other components installed on the computer.
Note: The utility was retired by Microsoft on June 25, 2010, due to problems and conflicts it was having with Microsoft Office 2007.
